#TankaTuesday Weekly #Poetry Challenge No. 324, 6/13/2023

This week Colleen has a photo prompt for us. And what a photo prompt it is! I am part Navtive American and I love this wonderful photo prompt. The photo was provided by Terri Webster Schrandt, from secondwindleisure.com to share her photos with us for inspiration. Terri runs a weekly photo challenge called Sunday Stills. Check it out HERE.

I choose to do a 7-9-7 Haiku.
Pole of power and glory
Sharing the tribes history and wisdom.
The pole protects the ancestors.

Eagle brave and bold
Eyes so cold
Soul of Gold.
A brave bird.
Have you heard
The Devine in a bird
The eagle is one of a kind.
I hope you enjoyed my poetry. Thank-you Colleen M. Chesebro for this amazing prompt. If you would like to join in on the fun, please clink the link
Follow the instructions and fun.
Much love and light,
Brenda Marie

A pleasure Brenda 😌
I love how the stories & histories are attached to each totem pole. Brenda, your poems honor the ancestors. Excellent inspiration. 🙏🏻

Thank-you so much
Hi Brenda, thank you for your kind comments and wonderful poems about the bald eagle! I have much better pics of my totem pole. Although I didn’t carve it, I painted it and researched the Native American traditions for accuracy. I hope I did eagle and bear proud!
The eagle and bear thank-you for what you do. Much love.
