Writing

Fifteen years ago, I was told, poetry is dead. Learn to write differently. So, I did, but I did not find what I was looking for in other types of writing. Poetry is written through the soul and is what I do. One must look for like-minded people. Poetry will never die because there will always be people who write through the soul.

                       Writing

 

 

Writing sets me free.

It lets me be all that I want to be.

I write from the deepest depths of my soul.

 

Some people like what I write, some people don’t.

Some of what I write even amazes me, it’s so beautiful to read.

Other things make me wish I was better at my beloved endeavors.

But it really doesn’t matter to me. Writing is the goal.

 

Once, I was told, you will write a thousand things

Just to get one that will make the world sing.

I don’t know how true that statement is, as I have written many things.

I write because of the love it brings, writing makes my heart sing.
