Guided Meditation for Automatic Writing

Introduction:

Welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you connect with your inner voice and unlock the flow of automatic writing. In this session, we’ll calm the mind, quiet distractions, and create space for intuitive insights to emerge naturally through your writing.

Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Sit comfortably with your writing materials in front of you—a notebook or paper and a pen.

Let’s begin.

1. Setting the Intention (1-2 minutes):

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose… and exhale slowly through your mouth. With each breath, feel your body relax and let go of any tension.

Now, gently set an intention for this meditation. You might say to yourself: “I am open to receiving guidance from within. I trust the flow of words that come through me. I release judgment and allow the process to unfold naturally.”

Take another deep breath and feel the power of your intention filling your body, mind, and spirit.

2. Grounding and Centering (2-3 minutes):

Feel the surface beneath you supporting your body. Imagine roots growing from the base of your spine or the soles of your feet, reaching deep into the earth. These roots are grounding you, giving you stability and balance.

Feel yourself becoming centered in this moment, connected to both the earth and the expansive energy of the universe. You are both grounded and open.

Now, bring your awareness to your heart center. Feel the energy of your heart—its warmth, its rhythm. This is the place where your deepest truths reside.

3. Clearing the Mind (3-4 minutes):

As you sit here in this peaceful space, visualize a soft, golden light above your head. This light represents clarity and insight. Imagine this light gently pouring down through the crown of your head, filling your mind with calm and stillness.

Allow this golden light to clear away any mental clutter, releasing worries, doubts, or fears. Let the light continue flowing down your body, relaxing your neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Feel this clarity settling into your being, preparing you for effortless connection.

4. Opening the Flow (4-5 minutes):

Now, imagine a gentle stream of water flowing freely through you. This stream represents your intuitive wisdom, creativity, and the flow of words waiting to be written. It’s calm, continuous, and abundant.

Say to yourself: “I trust the stream of thoughts and words that flow through me. I am a vessel for this wisdom.”

As you connect to this inner flow, you may notice thoughts, images, or words beginning to arise. Don’t force them. Simply observe as they float by, like leaves on a river, knowing that the right ones will find their way to you.

5. Opening Your Eyes and Writing (6-7 minutes):

When you’re ready, slowly bring your awareness back to your body, but stay connected to the calm and centered feeling within. Gently open your eyes, keeping your focus soft and inward.

Pick up your pen and place it on the paper.

Allow the words to come naturally. Don’t censor yourself or worry about grammar or structure. Write whatever arises, even if it seems nonsensical at first. Trust that whatever comes is exactly what needs to be written.

Write freely, without judgment, for the next few minutes.

6. Closing the Session (1-2 minutes):

As you finish your writing, take a moment to reflect on the process. No matter what appeared on the page, be grateful for the connection you experienced. You may choose to revisit what you’ve written later, or let it stand as it is.

Take a deep breath in, feeling grateful for this time of connection, and exhale gently.

When you’re ready, close your eyes once more and thank yourself for showing up and trusting the flow of your inner voice.

Know that you can return to this state whenever you wish, and with practice, the flow of automatic writing will come more easily and naturally.

End of Meditation

Take your time returning to the room and enjoy the process of exploring what you have written.

Remember these are just guidelines. Take as much time as you need for each part. Make it your own.

Thank-you For reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
