Poem: Detach

Detach

A whisper calls, but none remain,
The echoes soft, then fade in vain.
A tether breaks, once firm, now thin,
The weight of holding slips within.

The ties dissolve, like mist at dawn,
As silent winds carry them on.
What once was close, now drifts away,
A fading shadow, a closing day.

The heart beats free, yet feels the pull,
A hollow space, yet strangely full.
No longer bound by past’s embrace,
The freedom found in empty space.

Let go, release, no need to chase,
For in the stillness, there’s a grace.
Detached, yet whole, we find our way,
Not lost in time, but in the sway.

The world will turn, and so shall we,
Untethered, yet we’re wild and free.
In letting go, we find our place,
A quiet peace, a boundless space.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
