Poem: The Light Is in You

The night may whisper shadowed lies,
And clouds may veil the open skies,
But still, beyond what storms undo—
A quiet truth: the light’s in you.

Not borrowed flame, nor fleeting spark,
Not lantern lit to chase the dark,
But something forged and fierce and true—
A steady fire that burns in you.

It doesn’t flicker when winds cry,
Or falter as the hours go by.
It stays, when all else fades from view—
A beacon bold: the light in you.

When paths are lost and faith runs thin,
When doubt claws deep beneath the skin,
Breathe soft, stand tall, and just break through—
For dawn begins with light in you.

So when the world feels cold and wide,
Don’t look without—look deep inside.
You are the flame that will renew.
You are the light. It is in you.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
