Poem: For the Love of Sunshine

For the Love of Sunshine

I love the way the sunshine finds my face,
Soft as a promise, warm as a friend,
Spilling gold across the quiet morning,
As if the day itself wants to begin again.

It dances on windows and open roads,
Wakes the dust into tiny stars,
Turns ordinary moments radiant—
A cup of coffee, a walk, a pause.

In its glow, worries loosen their grip,
Shadows remember how to be kind,
And even the tired parts of my heart
Stretch, yawn, and feel inclined to shine.

Sunshine teaches me how to hope—
Not loudly, not all at once,
But steadily, faithfully,
Rising again, simply because it can.

I carry its warmth long after it fades,
Tucked beneath skin and thought,
For loving the sunshine is loving life
In its most honest, golden form.

Thank-you for reading.

Remember there are many paths back to God.

Follow your own path,

Brenda Marie
