Poem: You Are a Fighter

You Are a Fighter

They have broken you down.
You have many battle scars and bruises
From the many wars of life you have gone through.

They have broken you, but not destroyed you.
You have bled until the roads ran red.
But, they have not killed you.
Your scars run deep.
The scars are a reminder of how far you have come.

Life is a battlefield we all walk through.
What does not kill us strengthens us!
The longer the battles last,
The stronger the warriors are that fight in them.

Not even a war will last.
Pick up the pieces of your past.
Show the world the strength you have gained,
From going through all of life’s pain.
