Sad and Blue

 

Using the writing prompt sad. I wrote this poem “Sad and Blue.”

 

Sad and Blue

Feeling sad and blue

Having nothing to do.

 

I want to go away.

What else can I say?

Feeling sad and blue

With nothing to do.

 

This is not me.

Can’t you see.

There is always something to do.

 

But I want something new.

Something different

Something that will

Make me sing inside

With foolish pride.

 

Sad and blue

I am stuck here

With nothing to do.
