Trying Something New 5-7-5 Haiku

After reading Word Craft Pose and Poetry, the Art of Crafting Syllabic Poetry by Colleen M. Chesebro. I am trying something new here. The last time I tried to write syllabic poetry, I was in grade school. I mostly write free style poetry. I decided to start with something easy: the 5-7-5 Haiku.

Here are Three Little Haihhus for you.

My Little Brown Hound

He has such a loving soul

How large no one knows!

 

 

The Pisser and the Kisser

Two little hounds that I loved.

A gift from above.

 

The burning hot sun

made us run for the ocean,

the water so cold.
