Poem: Courage

In the darkest corners of my mind,
Where fear and doubt are intertwined,
I summon courage, tall and strong,
To face the fears that cause me wrong.

With trembling heart and quivering knees,
I step forward, seeking inner peace.
No longer bound by what goes unseen,
I choose to conquer what’s never been.

First, fear of failure, like a weight,
I release with a determined gait.
For in each stumble and every fall,
I’ll rise again, standing proud and tall.

Next, fear of rejection, sharp and cruel,
I’ll confront head-on, like a fearless duel.
Knowing that my worth lies within,
I’ll embrace myself, flaws and all, to win.

Fear of the unknown, an everlasting maze,
I’ll navigate, unyielding, despite its haze.
With every step, uncertainty transformed,
Into a journey where discoveries are adorned.

And fear of inadequacy, a nagging voice,
I silence, making my own choice.
With each effort, each endeavor, I pursue,
I’ll celebrate progress, for that is true.

For courage, my dear friend, will always be,
The guiding light, that sets me free.
To face my fears with strength and grace,
To find my purpose, to leave a trace.

So, I summon courage from deep within,
To face my fears and let them thin.
For in the face of fear, I shall rise,
And find the strength within my eyes.

I’ll stare down my fears with resolute gaze,
And challenge them to change their ways.
No longer will they control my fate,
For I am the master of my own state.

With every step, my fears shall shrink,
As I rise above, and from them unlink.
For I am stronger than I may seem,
And brave enough to chase my dream.

And when the darkness tries to creep,
I’ll summon courage, strong and deep.
For fear may linger, but I’ll never cower,
As I face my fears, and gain their power.

So here I stand, ready and brave,
Facing fears, my soul to save.
With courage as my guiding light,
I’ll conquer my fears, no matter the fight.
