Love, oh love, what art thou?
A feeling so profound,
It fills our hearts with joy,
Yet can leave them feeling burned.
Love is a fire burning bright,
A flame that never dies,
It warms our very souls,
And lifts us to the skies.
Love is a gentle touch,
A tender hand to hold,
It wipes away our tears,
And makes us feel less cold.
Love is a melody,
A song that makes us dance,
It fills our ears with music,
And puts us in a trance.
Love is an ocean,
Vast and deep and wide,
It cradles us so gently,
And carries us along the tide.
Love is a mirror,
Reflecting who we are,
It shows us all our flaws,
But loves us still, by far.
Love is a journey,
With twists and turns unknown,
It takes us to places,
We never thought we’d ever go.
Love is a sacrifice,
A giving up of one’s own will,
It puts another first,
And asks for nothing still.
Love is a blessing,
A gift to be cherished,
It brings us peace and comfort,
When our world feels perished.
Love, oh love, so many things,
Yet we may never know,
Its true essence and meaning,
But it’s in our hearts, a constant glow.
Thank-you for reading.
Many blessings to all.
Much love and light,
Brenda Mare
