In the embrace of time gone by,
A wise old soul, my grandfather wry,
With eyes that sparkle, wisdom untold,
Stories of the past, his heart of gold.
With every word, he weaves a tale,
Of struggles fought, and love that prevailed,
Through hardships endured, he stood so strong,
In the face of darkness, he carried on.
His hands, weathered from a life well lived,
Each wrinkle etched with the lessons he gives,
A guiding light in a chaotic world,
His wisdom, like a flag, unfurled.
He speaks of love, that eternal flame,
A guiding force, in a world so tame,
He teaches patience, understanding too,
And the importance of a heart that’s true.
He tells of dreams, that soars so high,
Of reaching for the stars, beyond the sky,
No dream too big, no goal too small,
If you believe, you can have it all.
He shares his secrets, of happiness found,
In the simple things, that surrounds,
A warm embrace, a kind word spoken,
A gentle heart, that’s never broken.
In his presence, I am filled with awe,
For his wisdom, like a rising star,
Guides me through life’s never-ending maze,
Navigating each twist and turn with grace.
I treasure the moments spent with him,
A beacon of light when life feels grim,
For in his presence, I always find,
A wealth of wisdom, a peace of mind.
So, I cherish his words, his timeless voice,
A legacy of love that I rejoice,
Grandfather’s wisdom, forever I’ll hold,
In my heart, a treasure worth more than gold.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
