Poem: Forgive Yourslf First!

In this world of endless strife,
Where mistakes are made in life,
It’s crucial to remember, dear,
To forgive yourself, first, my dear.

For we stumble and we fall,
Tripped up by our own pitfall,
But the key to rising high,
Is to forgive yourself, don’t deny.

For when guilt consumes your soul,
And sorrow takes its heavy toll,
You became trapped in the past,
Unable to let go, to free at last.

So close your eyes, deep in thought,
And release the burdens that you’ve caught,
Acknowledge your flaws, your misgivings,
But see the beauty that still is living.

Since we are human, imperfectly so,
But it’s in these imperfections that we grow,
You deserve love and compassion,
Even when you’ve caused a disruption.

Grant yourself the gift of peace,
Let the self-criticism cease,
Embrace your worth, your true essence,
And accept that you deserve self-redemption.

For in forgiving yourself, my friend,
You break the chains that bind, the pain will end,
You can find solace in the present, anew,
And allow your spirit to blossom, to renew.

So let go of the past, release the weight,
Embrace the love that is your true fate,
For in forgiving yourself, my dear,
You’ll find the freedom to truly persevere.
