Poem: Healing Yourself

In a world so vast and complex,
Where pain and suffering infect,
It’s easy to forget the power within,
To heal ourselves and let the light begin.

But in order to heal others’ pain,
We must first look within our own terrain,
For a broken vessel cannot mend,
A wounded heart cannot transcend.

So take a moment, take a breath,
Close your eyes and face the depth,
Of emotions buried deep inside,
Let go of all the hurt and pride.

Acknowledge all that is within,
The fear, the anger, the suppressed din,
Allow the tears to freely flow,
Release the pain that’s holding you low.

Find solace in the stillness there,
The quiet place, the soul laid bare,
Listen to the whispers of your soul,
As it guides you towards being whole.

Nurture yourself, love yourself true,
Embrace the wounds, let them renew,
For when we heal from deep within,
We open up the world to begin.

Begin to heal those around,
With compassion, love, and a gentle sound,
Offer support, lend a helping hand,
Bring healing to a broken land.

For healing starts from deep within,
A journey we must all begin,
By tending to our own wounds and scars,
We become the healers, the guiding stars.

So let the cycle continue on,
Healing ourselves, then passing it on,
A beautiful ripple effect we shall see,
As we heal the world, and set it free.

Thank-you for reading.  Many blessings to all.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
