Don’t let the anger and pain build up,
Release the emotions that weigh you down,
For staying silent will only make you rough,
Let your voice ring out, break the silence.
Too often we bottle up our distress,
Hoping it will fade away with time,
But the truth is, it encompasses our chest,
Like a dormant volcano, ready to climb.
Anger boils like a fire inside,
It chokes the air we desperately need,
But when we let it free, we begin to glide,
Towards a peaceful path, we finally lead.
Pain claws at our hearts, tearing us apart,
But we hold back, hiding behind a facade,
Yet pain demands to be heard, it yearns to depart,
Let it flow, let it go, let it no longer maraud.
Speak your mind, let your thoughts unfurl,
Find solace in expressing your strife,
For the power of words can heal this world,
And free you from the shackles of internal strife.
So don’t let the anger and pain build up,
Allow yourself to be vulnerable and true,
For only then can you rise and disrupt,
The cycle of anguish and begin anew.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
