Poem: No One Beleaved Me

In a world so cruel, where shadows grow,
A story untold, a mother’s sorrow,
For no one believes, oh, the pain she knows,
Her heart now broken, her love a hollow.

A bond once cherished, forged through the years,
A mother’s love, void of any fears,
But darkness consumed her child’s frail soul,
Innocence lost, beyond all control.

Her words of caution, ignored and tossed,
By a son, she nurtured, who now feels lost,
In the depths of his being, a monster born,
A sinister secret, a heart now torn.

No one believes me, they turn a blind eye,
For how could a mother’s love lead to a lie?
But truth be told, in the depths of this hell,
A mother’s love, now a tragic farewell.

What went awry, as years slipped away?
Did she miss the signs, too blind to betray?
Or was evil lurking, hidden within,
A darkness so deep, concealed by her kin?

No one believes me, the whispers resound,
They question my story, my truth, they confound,
But deep in my soul, the scars testify,
Of a mother’s love, silenced by a lie.

Grief envelops, like a shroud so cold,
Truth overshadowed, justice untold,
Her voice may be silenced, but I’ll stand strong,
For a mother’s love, cannot be wronged for long.

Though the world may doubt, the pain still remains,
In my heart etched, the loss that remains,
No one believes me, but the truth will prevail,
For a mother’s love, forever to unveil.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
