Poem: Mother

Mother, I wish you were here,
To chase away my fears,
To wipe away my tears,
And hold me close in your warm embrace.

Mother, I miss your gentle touch,
Your words of wisdom that meant so much,
Your laughter that filled the room,
And your love that banished all gloom.

Mother, I long for your comforting voice,
Your guidance in times of choice,
Your strength in times of trial,
And your grace that never fails to inspire.

Mother, though you may be gone,
Your spirit in me still lives on,
Guiding me through each day,
And showing me the way.

Mother, I carry you in my heart,
As I navigate this world apart,
But oh, how I wish you were near,
To ease my burdens and calm my fears.

Mother, I miss you more than words can say,
But in my heart, you will always stay,
Forever cherished, forever dear,
Oh, how I wish you were here.

Thank-you for reading.

Much love and Light,

Brenda Marie

  1. Love this! I lost my mom years ago to Alzheimer’s then death in 2017. If it weren’t for all the emotional and spiritual work I have done in the last 15 years I would miss her more. But after visiting with her again in dreams and visitation type visions, I could never wish her back here in this plane of existence.
