In the depths of my despair,
I search for solace, for repair.
My heart is broken, my soul in pain,
I need a balm to ease the strain.
So I turn to poetry, to art,
To mend the pieces of my heart.
Words that soothe and words that heal,
Guiding me towards what is real.
In each verse, I find a spark,
A glimmer of light in the dark.
A reminder that I am not alone,
That I will find my way back home.
So I let the words wash over me,
Filling me with hope and possibility.
I may be broken, but I am strong,
And through poetry, I will heal before long.
So thank you, dear poet, for your gift,
For helping my spirit to uplift.
I will carry your words in my heart,
And let them heal me, piece by part.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
