Poem: Dark Night of the Soul

In the dark night of the soul
I find myself lost and alone
Surrounded by shadows
And haunted by fears unknown

I search for a light
To guide me through the night
But all I find is darkness
And a sense of overwhelming fright

I feel the weight of my doubts
And the burden of my sins
I long for some solace
But all I find is the darkness within

Yet in this bleak despair
I find a flicker of hope
A tiny spark of light
That helps me to cope

I cling to this light
And let it lead me on
Through the darkness and the pain
Until the night is finally gone

And as the dawn breaks
And the light begins to grow
I find that I am stronger
And more resilient than I know

For in the dark night of the soul
I have faced my deepest fears
And emerged with a newfound strength
That will carry me through the years.
