Poetry about Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene, who was she? Not too many people know about Mary Magdalene. I don’t know, that much about her, only what I have read.  You can’t get that much information about her. But, I have written  a poem about her.

Mary Magdalene

In a time of darkness and despair
Mary Magdalene showed she cared
A woman of strength and grace
Who met Jesus face to face.

She was once lost in sin and shame
But he called her by name
He saw her worth, her heart of gold
And in his love, she was consoled.

She followed him from town to town
Her faith in him never wavered down
She was there at his crucifixion
A witness to his sacrifice and affliction.

But on that joyous Easter morn
Her sorrow turned to joy reborn
For he rose from the grave
Her beloved Savior, strong and brave.

Mary Magdalene, a woman of devotion
A model of faith and emotion
Her story lives on through the ages
A testament to faith’s unwavering pages.

So let us remember her with cheer
For in her love, there is no fear
Mary Magdalene, a symbol of hope
In a world where love and faith elope.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
