Poem: Love of the Sea

The sea, so vast and deep
A love that runs forever
Its waves, they crash and leap
A bond that cannot sever

The salty air, the soothing sound
A symphony in my ears
With every wave that hits the ground
My heart is filled with cheers

I walk along the sandy shore
And let the sea embrace
Its beauty leaves me wanting more
A love I cannot replace

Oh, how I long to be at sea
To feel its gentle caress
Forever bound, my heart is free
In love with the great abyss

So here I stand, by the sea
A love that’s pure and true
Forever grateful it chose me
To feel its love anew

The sea, my love, my endless joy
Forever will I be
A sailor on its vast employ
In love with the deep blue sea.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
