Poem: Be Free

In the confines of my mind, I feel the chains,
Bound by expectations, burdened by pains,
Yearning to break free, to spread my wings,
To embrace the unknown, where freedom sings.

I long to dance in the open air,
To release my inhibitions, without a care,
To soar high above, untethered and light,
To bask in the glow of my inner might.

No longer shackled by doubt or fear,
I embrace the unknown, drawing near,
To the edges of possibility, where dreams reside,
In the vast expanse of life’s wild ride.

I set myself free from the weight of the past,
Embracing the moment, bold and steadfast,
With courage as my guide, I take the leap,
Into the freedom of self, where my soul shall keep.

So here I stand, unchained and true,
Embracing the freedom that is due,
To every soul yearning to be,
Unbound, untamed, wild and free.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
