Poem: Trying to Live the Dream

In the quiet of dawn’s first light,
I rise with dreams that take to flight.
With each breath, a whispered vow,
To chase the passions that call me now.

Through fields of doubt and skies of blue,
I journey on, steadfast and true.
In every step, in every stride,
I feel the fire burning deep inside.

Though shadows dance and doubts may sway,
I push ahead, come what may.
For in the heart of every dream,
There lies a strength, a steady beam.

With every hurdle, every test,
I strive to give my very best.
For in the doing, in the strive,
I find the joy that makes me alive.

So I’ll press on, through thick and thin,
With hope’s bright torch to light within.
For in the pursuit of what I love,
I find the grace of skies above.

And when the day draws to its end,
I’ll rest my head, my soul on the mend.
Knowing that I’ve given my all,
In the pursuit of my passion’s call.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
