Poem: Day Dreaming

In the quiet spaces of the mind, I roam,
Where reality’s bond’s yield to the unknown,
In the realm of daydreams, I find my home,
Where imagination’s seeds are gently sown.

With eyes half-closed, in a world of my own,
I drift away from the mundane and known,
To distant shores where dreams are grown,
In the fertile soil of thoughts overthrown.

In daydreams, I am an artist, bold and free,
Painting on the canvas of possibility,
With every stroke, I shape my destiny,
In a realm where limits cease to be.

I soar on wings of fancy, high and wide,
Exploring galaxies where dreams abide,
In the boundless expanse of my mind’s tide,
I am the captain of this fantastic ride.

Through meadows of reverie, I gently tread,
Where fantasies bloom in hues of red,
In daydreams, I find the words unsaid,
And the dreams that linger as I lie in bed.

Oh, sweet daydreams, in your gentle sway,
You lead me to worlds where I wish to stay,
In your embrace, I while my hours away,
Dreaming, creating, in the light of day.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
