The golden haze of summer’s reign,
When the world basks in warmth’s embrace,
Comes a gentle whisper, a soft refrain,
As the heavens weep in a tranquil grace.
Upon parched earth, the droplets dance,
A symphony of nature’s sweet refrain,
Each raindrop, a fleeting romance,
Kissing the ground, a lover’s gain.
The air, once heavy with the day’s heat,
Now sighs in relief, a soothing sigh,
As the rain’s touch brings a cool treat,
Underneath the vast, cerulean sky.
Leaves shimmer with a verdant sheen,
Bathed in the tears of the heavens above,
And in this moment, all is serene,
A tranquil interlude, a gift of love.
Summer rain, a gentle lullaby,
Cleansing the world, washing away,
All worries beneath the azure sky,
In the embrace of a midsummer’s day.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
