Poem: The Inner Child at Play

In fields of green, where daisies sway,
There dances my inner child at play.
With laughter light as summer’s breeze,
She spins beneath the whispering trees.

Her eyes, they gleam with pure delight,
Reflecting skies of azure bright.
Barefoot, she runs on paths untamed,
Where dreams and fantasies are framed.

In her small hands, the world she molds,
A kingdom made of tales untold.
With every step, the earth sings back,
A symphony on nature’s track.

She chases butterflies so fleet,
Their colors blend in rhythmic beat.
Through forests deep and meadows wide,
She knows no fear, she will not hide.

Her giggles are the song of youth,
A melody of joy and truth.
In every smile, a story spun,
Of innocence and endless fun.

She climbs the clouds, she rides the moon,
Her heart a wild, enchanting tune.
In realms of wonder, she is queen,
Of lands both real and yet unseen.

Oh, let her dance, let her remain,
Untouched by sorrow, free from pain.
For in her joy, there lies the key,
To all that was and is to be.

So in my heart, she’ll always stay,
My inner child, forever at play.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
