Poem: Life

In the morning light, they softly creep,
Life’s aches and pains, their promises deep.
A whisper of age in the joints that groan,
A reminder of all the seeds we’ve sown.

Each ache a tale of battles fought,
Of lessons learned, of wisdom sought.
A pain that lingers is a scar unseen,
A mark of where our hearts have been.

The steps grow slower, the breaths more deep,
But in each pause, memories we keep.
A tender bruise, a tear’s refrain,
Echoes of joy amidst the pain.

For life is not in the hurt we bear,
But in the love that lingers there.
In every ache, a story lies,
Of laughter shared, of tear-filled eyes.

So let the pains be what they are,
A testament to how we’ve come so far.
For in the aches and in the pain,
There lies the beauty we have gained.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
