In the hush of twilight’s embrace,
Where shadows stretch and moments trace,
The world whispers secrets, soft and low,
Of fleeting time, of letting go.
Leaves drift gently, a golden swirl,
Each one a memory, a story unfurled,
The air is thick with a bittersweet sigh,
As day bids farewell, and night draws nigh.
Voices linger in the fading light,
Echoes of laughter, once vibrant and bright,
Yet in the silence, there’s beauty profound,
In the dance of the dusk, in the calm all around.
We gather our dreams like stars in a jar,
Holding them close, though they feel far,
For every ending is woven with grace,
In the tapestry of time, we find our place.
So here’s to the moments, both cherished and rare,
To love that we’ve known, to the breath of the air,
In the last days, let’s hold on tight,
To the flicker of dawn, and the promise of night.
Thank-you for reading.
Much love and light,
Brenda Marie
