Guided Meditation: Discovering Your Pursuit

Find a Comfortable Space

Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed. Sit or lie down in a relaxed position. Close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely. Hold it for a moment, then slowly exhale through your mouth, releasing any tension.

Ground Yourself

With each breath, allow your body to sink deeper into relaxation. Feel the surface beneath you supporting you. Imagine roots extending from your body into the earth, grounding you in this moment.

Visualize Your Inner Landscape

Now, picture a serene landscape in your mind. It could be a forest, a beach, or a tranquil mountain top—whatever feels peaceful to you. As you visualize this space, take a moment to explore it. Notice the colors, the sounds, the scents around you. Allow yourself to feel safe and at ease here.

Set Your Intention

As you settle into this serene space, bring to mind the question: “What am I truly chasing in my life?” Hold this question lightly, without any pressure or expectation. Just let it float in your awareness.

Observe Your Thoughts and Feelings

As you breathe in and out, pay attention to any thoughts, images, or feelings that arise. Don’t judge or analyze them; simply observe. If a specific desire or goal surfaces, acknowledge it and allow yourself to feel the emotion connected to it.

Dive Deeper

Now, envision yourself walking along a path in your peaceful landscape. With each step, feel yourself moving closer to clarity. As you walk, ask yourself:

  • What does this pursuit mean to me?
  • Why do I feel drawn to it?
  • How does it align with my values and who I am?

As you walk, let any answers come to you naturally. It may take the form of a word, an image, or a feeling. Trust whatever arises.

Embrace Your Insight

Once you’ve gathered some insights, take a moment to reflect on them. Visualize them as small, glowing lights in your heart. Feel the warmth and energy they bring, knowing that these insights are guiding you toward understanding your true pursuits.

Return to the Present

When you feel ready, begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment. Feel the surface beneath you, the air around you. Take a few deep breaths, gently wiggling your fingers and toes.

Open Your Eyes

When you’re ready, slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to orient yourself before getting up. Remember that you can carry this clarity with you into your daily life.
