Poem: Inner Peace

Image by Gerd Altmann from Pixabay

In the stillness of the dawn,
Where whispers of the world are drawn,
I find a space, a quiet place,
Where time slows down, and worries erase.

Gentle breezes brush my skin,
The chaos fades, the calm slips in,
Each breath a wave, a soothing tide,
In this sanctuary, I abide.

Thoughts like clouds drift soft and slow,
No need to chase, just let them go.
The heart, a drum, beats steady and true,
In the silence, I am renewed.

Amidst the storms that life may bring,
I find the joy in simple things.
A moment’s pause, a glance at the sky,
A deep exhale, a peaceful sigh.

So here I sit, in soft embrace,
Wrapped in warmth, a sacred space.
Inner peace, my guiding star,
With every heartbeat, near or far.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
