Poem: Lost in the Void

In the quiet dark, where silence calls,
I wander through the empty halls,
A space where echoes cannot stay,
Where time dissolves and fades away.

The stars are dim, the moon is gone,
A world where light has never shone.
I reach for something, but it slips,
Like fleeting stars from desperate grips.

The void is vast, a breathless sea,
A place where even thoughts are free.
No anchor here, no tethered guide,
Just endless miles of silent tide.

I search for meaning in the deep,
For answers lost in endless sleep.
The weight of nothing pulls me down,
And silence wears a hollow crown.

Yet still, a flicker—faint, remote—
A spark within me starts to float.
Perhaps, in darkness, there is grace,
A quiet strength, a sacred space.

For in the void, I come to see,
I am both lost and yet, still free.
No need for light, no need for sound,
For in the silence, peace is found.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
