Poem: Breaking Free

I’ve been a prisoner of my mind,
Bound by chains I couldn’t find,
Held by thoughts that whispered lies,
And dreams that faded with the skies.

I lived within a world confined,
A cage of doubt, a heart resigned,
But somewhere deep, I heard a call,
A whisper breaking through it all.

It said, “You are more than what you know,
A spark, a flame, a river’s flow,
No walls can hold, no cage can bind,
The truth that’s buried deep inside.”

So with each breath, I shed the past,
I broke the chains, I ran at last,
No longer bound by fear or shame,
I stepped into the light of flame.

Thank-you for reading,

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
