Poem: Fork in the Road

At the dawn of a path, where two roads meet,
I stand in the silence, my heart skips a beat.
One stretches ahead with a whisper of ease,
The other winds forward through shadows and trees.

The choice lies before me, a question untold,
One path is bright, and the other, more bold.
The road less traveled, mysterious and deep,
The one that might call me when the shadows creep.

Yet the one more familiar, worn smooth by feet,
Promises comfort, a rhythm, a beat.
Both roads are silent, both paths are wide,
But only one can be chosen to guide.

I stand, indecisive, with time on my side,
The whispers of destiny beckon and guide.
For this fork in the road, so simple, yet true,
Is a moment of choice, where the world feels new.

So I choose with courage, though fear fills my chest,
For the road I select will be my quest.
And whatever I find, as I walk on my way,
I’ll follow the journey, come what may.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
