Guided Meditation: Releasing Negative Energy Stored in the Body

Welcome to this guided meditation. This practice will help you connect to your body, release stored tension, and clear out any negative energy that may have accumulated over time.

Find a quiet and comfortable space where you can sit or lie down undisturbed. Close your eyes or lower your gaze. Take a moment to simply notice your breath as it moves naturally—no need to force it.

Step 1: Grounding and Connecting to Your Body

Take a deep, slow breath in through your nose, filling your belly with air. Exhale gently through your mouth. Allow your body to settle as you focus on your breath.

Now bring your attention to your body. Notice how it feels, without judgment. Scan through your body from head to toe, observing any areas of tension, discomfort, or sensation.

Start at the top of your head and slowly bring your awareness downward:

  • Notice your head and neck.
  • Notice your shoulders—how they feel. Do they feel tight or heavy?
  • Notice your chest and your back.
  • Bring your attention to your arms and hands.
  • Move your focus to your belly and hips.
  • Notice your legs and feet.

As you scan, simply observe. You are safe here. You are giving your body the attention and care it deserves.

Step 2: Breathe into Areas of Tension

Now identify any areas of your body that feel tight, sore, or heavy. Perhaps you feel tension in your shoulders, a tightness in your chest, or discomfort in your hips. Wherever you sense energy stuck, imagine your breath reaching that area.

As you inhale, visualize warm, golden light entering your body. Imagine this light bringing healing and relaxation to those areas.

As you exhale, visualize any tension, stress, or negative energy leaving your body. Picture it leaving like a dark fog or smoke, dissipating into the air.

Breathe in deeply. Feel your body relaxing.
Exhale slowly. Let go of what no longer serves you.

Continue this practice, focusing your breath on these areas for a few moments. Allow the energy to shift and release.

Step 3: Visualize Negative Energy Leaving Your Body

Now imagine all the negative energy stored in your body as dark, sticky smoke. See this smoke residing in areas where you feel pain, stress, or discomfort.

With every slow exhale, visualize this smoke leaving your body. Imagine it being released through your breath, rising up and out of your body, disappearing into the atmosphere.

You can visualize this smoke leaving through your mouth or any other part of your body where you sense tension or heaviness. Let the act of breathing become a cleansing process—each breath freeing you from emotional and energetic burdens.

Inhale fresh, healing energy.
Exhale and let go of tension, pain, or negativity.

Trust that with each breath, you are making space for healing, light, and renewal.

Step 4: Fill Your Body with Healing Light

Once you feel you have released the heavy, negative energy, visualize a bright, healing light entering your body. This light can be golden, white, or any color that feels comforting to you.

Imagine this light filling every cell, every muscle, every joint, and every space within you. It brings balance, peace, and vitality. Allow this light to wrap around you, dissolving any remaining tension or discomfort.

Picture this healing light glowing brightly in every part of your body. See it restoring you—lifting you, renewing you.

Breathe into this light. Allow it to heal you.

You are safe. You are loved. You are whole. You are at peace.

Step 5: Affirm Your Healing

As you continue to breathe deeply, silently or aloud, repeat these affirmations:

  • I release all negative energy from my body and mind.
  • I am safe, whole, and free.
  • I trust in my body’s ability to heal.
  • I choose light, peace, and well-being.
  • I am connected to my body, and my body is wise and strong.

Let these affirmations become your truth. Repeat them with conviction, knowing that you are creating space for healing and renewal.

Step 6: Return to the Present Moment

Now, bring your attention back to the sensation of your breath. Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you breathe. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and feel the support of the surface beneath you.

When you’re ready, open your eyes and return to the present moment, carrying this sense of release, healing, and lightness with you.

Know that you can return to this meditation anytime you feel tension or heaviness in your body.

Thank you for taking this time to connect with yourself and heal. You are strong, you are whole, and you are deeply capable of transformation.

Carry this light and freedom with you throughout your day.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
