Poem: There’s a Lesson Behind the Pain

There’s a Lesson Behind the Pain

In the aching depths of midnight’s hold,
Where whispers echo, faint and cold,
A truth is stitched into each scar—
A map that leads to who you are.

The shadows came, uninvited, near,
Carving paths of doubt and fear.
But from the ashes, strength will rise—
A testament to your will to fight.

Pain speaks loud in its quiet way,
Teaching truths that words can’t say.
It bends the heart, reshapes the soul,
Turns broken pieces into whole.

The lesson isn’t found in grief,
But in the moments of belief—
That you can heal, you can survive,
And even thrive when you arrive.

Let pain be the teacher, not the end;
A broken road can still ascend.
The journey is long, but you’ll discover—
You’re stronger than the storm you weather.

So hold the pain, let it reveal
The strength you have, the wounds that heal.
There’s beauty in the trials faced,
And peace in the journey you’ll embrace.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
