Guided Meditation: Cutting the Ethic Cords

Welcome to this guided meditation for cutting the energetic cords that no longer serve you. These cords can bind us to old relationships, past experiences, or emotions that hold us back from fully stepping into our own power. In this practice, we will visualize and release those connections, bringing healing, freedom, and renewal.

Setting the Space

Find a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. Sit or lie down, ensuring your body feels relaxed and supported. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose, filling your lungs completely, and then exhale gently through your mouth. Allow your breath to become slow and steady.

With each breath, begin to relax your body, starting from the top of your head and slowly moving down. Release any tension from your face, your neck, your shoulders. Let go of any tightness in your arms, hands, and fingers. Relax your chest, your stomach, your hips, and all the way down your legs, until you reach your feet and toes.

Now, bring your awareness to the present moment. Let go of anything that happened before this moment or anything that may happen afterward. You are here, in this moment, ready to release what no longer serves you.

Setting the Intention

In this meditation, you are preparing to release any cords, attachments, or energetic ties that are draining your energy or holding you back from your highest potential. These cords can come from relationships, past experiences, or unresolved emotions. With a loving heart, set the intention to cut these cords and free yourself from their influence.

Affirmation:
“I am ready to release what no longer serves my highest good. I trust in my ability to heal and to move forward with clarity, love, and peace.”

Visualization of the Cutting Cords

Now, imagine yourself standing in a peaceful, beautiful place. It could be a serene forest, a sunlit meadow, or a tranquil beach—anywhere you feel safe and relaxed. Picture the earth beneath your feet, grounded and supportive.

As you stand in this peaceful space, begin to visualize a soft, glowing light surrounding you. This light represents your energy, your power, and your inner peace. Notice how this light pulses with warmth and love, protecting and nurturing you.

Now, take a moment to reflect on the specific cords you wish to cut. These could be tied to people, situations, emotions, or memories that no longer serve your well-being. Picture these cords extending from your body, whether they appear as physical strings, ropes, or vines. See how they are attached to your heart, your mind, or other areas of your body.

One by one, bring each cord into your awareness. Notice where it connects, and the feeling it brings up—whether it’s pain, frustration, sadness, or even anger. Acknowledge these feelings with compassion, knowing that they are part of your journey, but you no longer need to hold on to them.

Cutting the Cords

In front of you, imagine a sacred tool—a glowing sword or a pair of golden scissors, shimmering with healing energy. This tool is powerful, gentle, and filled with love. Hold it in your hands, and as you focus on the first cord, bring the tool close to it.

With love and clarity in your heart, gently cut the first cord. As you do, feel the release of that attachment. Sense the weight lifting from your shoulders, and experience the freedom that comes with it. You may hear or feel a soft snap or see the cord dissolve into light.

Take a moment to breathe deeply as the energy shifts. Know that this cord has been released, and you are free from its hold.

Continue cutting any remaining cords that no longer serve you. See them dissolve, transforming into light as they are severed. Allow yourself to feel lighter and more at ease with each one that you release.

As you cut each cord, say softly to yourself:

  • “I release this attachment with love.”
  • “I am free from this energy.”
  • “I allow myself to heal and move forward.”

Cleansing and Replenishing

Now that the cords are cut, feel a wave of light and healing energy pouring into the areas where the cords once were. Imagine a radiant, golden light filling these spaces, healing any wounds, and bringing balance and harmony. This light flows through your body, replenishing your energy and restoring you to wholeness.

Feel this light expanding outward, beyond you, filling the space around you. This is your energy, renewed and revitalized, free from any external attachments or negative influences.

Closing the Meditation

Take a few moments to simply sit in the peacefulness of this space. Feel the freedom, the lightness, and the strength that you now carry. Know that the cords you have cut are no longer influencing you, and you are free to move forward with clarity, love, and peace.

When you’re ready, slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the room. Feel the surface beneath you, the air around you, and gently wiggle your fingers and toes. When you’re ready, open your eyes, carrying with you the sense of freedom and release.

Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, know that you are free to continue your journey with a renewed sense of self and purpose.

Affirmation:
“I am free from all cords that no longer serve me. I am whole, I am at peace, and I am ready to embrace the next chapter of my life.”
