Poem: Heart of a Husky

A Dachshund with the heart of a Husky,
Short in the legs, but bold and plucky,
With eyes that gleam like winter’s frost,
A little body, but a spirit not lost.

Through fields of snow, he dreams to run,
Beneath the moon, beneath the sun.
His tail is small, but it wags with pride,
A lion’s heart, though dwarfed in size.

He’s built for tunnels, for cozy nooks,
But yearns for peaks and frozen brooks.
Though his paws are small, his heart is wide,
He’s ready for adventure, with no place to hide.

In every bark, there’s a call to roam,
To chase the winds, to find his home.
For in his chest, a wolf’s fierce cry,
A Dachshund’s body, but Husky’s sky.

So watch him race with all his might,
A little dog, but full of fight.
He’ll conquer mountains, no matter the test,
For a Dachshund with a Husky’s heart is the best.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and light,

Brenda Marie
