Poem: Lost in the Shadows

Lost in the Shadows

I wonder where the light can’t reach,
In silent halls of whispered speech.
The shadows curl, a dark embrace,
A haunting veil, I cannot face.

The moon above, a distant gleam,
A fading glow, a shattered dream.
Beneath its watch, the world is still,
While echoes drift from hollow hills.

I chase the forms that blur and bend,
A journey with no start, no end.
The paths grow twisted, dark, and wide,
Where shadows whisper, secrets hide.

In every corner, doubts are sown,
In every step, I’m all alone.
Yet still, I walk, a ghost in flight,
Lost in the shadows, out of sight.

For in this dusk, I learn to find
A quiet peace that calms the mind.
Though shadows claim my fleeting grace,
They lead me to a secret place.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
