So long ago, when days were wide,
The world was ours, no need to hide.
Beneath the sun, we danced in light,
And dreams were born in endless flight.
The air was warm, the skies so clear,
We held the moments close, so near.
No weight of time, no fear to chase,
Just endless joy, in every space.
So long ago, the stars were bright,
We’d gaze and wish on them each night.
Our laughter rang, our hearts were free,
A perfect world, for you and me.
But time, it whispers, softly steals,
What once was ours, what once was real.
Now distant shadows, lost in air,
Yet still, your spirit lingers there.
So long ago, we had it all,
But memories rise, and time will fall.
Though gone, you live in the moments past,
A love that forever will last.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
