
Guided Meditation: You Are Your Own Safety
Welcome to this meditation. Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down comfortably. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, let go of any tension you may be holding onto. Let your body relax, and allow your mind to become still.
1. Grounding Yourself Take a moment to check in with your body. Feel the ground beneath you, supporting you. Imagine your connection to the earth, as if roots are growing from the soles of your feet or your body, grounding you in safety and stability. With each breath you take, feel more connected to this sense of security.
2. Breathing Into Calm Now, begin to breathe slowly and deeply. Inhale through your nose, allowing your belly to expand, and then exhale gently through your mouth. With each breath, feel yourself becoming calmer, more present in the moment. Notice the sensation of the air entering and leaving your body. Let this breath remind you that you are in control, safe, and grounded.
3. Affirmations of Safety As you continue to breathe, begin to silently repeat the following affirmations in your mind:
- “I am safe in this moment.”
- “I trust in my ability to protect myself.”
- “I am my own strength.”
- “I create a safe space within myself.”
- “I am grounded, calm, and at peace.”
- “My safety is within me, always.”
Allow these words to resonate deep within you. Feel the truth of these affirmations in every part of your being. You are your own safety. You have the strength, wisdom, and ability to create a sense of peace and protection from within.
4. Embracing Your Inner Protection Imagine now a soft, warm light surrounding you, radiating from the center of your heart. This light is your inner protection, glowing brighter and brighter with each breath. Feel it expanding beyond your body, creating an invisible shield of safety around you. Nothing can penetrate this light; it is strong, loving, and unwavering.
With each inhale, this light grows even brighter. With each exhale, it becomes stronger, filling every corner of your mind, body, and spirit with a sense of safety and peace.
5. Trusting Yourself Take a moment now to reflect on how powerful you truly are. You are capable of navigating any challenges that come your way. Trust in your inner wisdom, in your ability to find safety within yourself, no matter the circumstances. You are always supported by your own strength, your own peace.
6. Returning to the Present As we begin to close this meditation, slowly start to bring your awareness back to the present moment. Wiggle your fingers and toes, gently stretch your body, and when you’re ready, open your eyes.
Know that you can return to this place of inner safety and strength anytime you need. You are your own protector. You are safe. Always.
Take one final deep breath, and with a sense of calm, go about your day, carrying the peace of this moment with you.
