Calendar of the Soul
January
A quiet dawn, a whispering frost,
The soul reflects on what is lost.
A seed within begins to dream,
Of warmth, of light, of a brighter gleam.
February
The chill persists, the heart feels tight,
Yet in the dark, there’s budding light.
The flame of hope begins to stir,
A silent call, a quiet blur.
March
The winds awaken, swift and free,
The soul begins to dance and see.
New life stirs in the frozen earth,
A springtime call, a second birth.
April
The rains arrive, soft and sweet,
A renewal of what we meet.
The soul, once damp, now feels the sun,
A quiet joy has just begun.
May
The blooms burst forth, in colors bright,
The soul embraces morning’s light.
It stretches wide, it starts to sing,
The warmth of life, a sacred spring.
June
The days grow long, the skies are clear,
The soul exults, no trace of fear.
Beneath the sun, the heart runs free,
A wild dance, a jubilee.
July
The summer’s heat ignites the soul,
A fire within, a sense of whole.
The soul, now bold, reaches high,
As flames of passion kiss the sky.
August
The days begin to soften, fade,
Yet still the soul in joy is made.
The harvest calls, the fruit is near,
A season’s end, yet no regret, no fear.
September
The autumn winds begin to blow,
The soul feels change, and lets it flow.
A deeper peace, a settling tone,
The fleeting beauty softly shown.
October
The leaves fall down in gold and red,
The soul reflects on what lies ahead.
A time to gather, to renew,
And listen to the winds that blew.
November
The air grows cold, the nights grow long,
The soul sings quiet, peaceful song.
A time for rest, a time for pause,
A moment for reflection’s cause.
December
The frost arrives, the stars are bright,
The soul feels calm, wrapped in the night.
A year has passed, its lessons clear,
The heart is full, no trace of fear.
And so, each month the soul will turn,
In cycles deep, in lessons learned.
A calendar of growth and grace,
Each day a gift, each moment, a space.
