In shadows deep, where whispers call,
A soul is trapped, yet yearns to fall.
A fleeting fix, a fleeting smile,
But chains are wrapped, each heavy mile.
The heart that seeks a quiet peace,
Finds fleeting moments, but no release.
The emptiness, the hunger deep,
A voice inside, so soft, it weeps.
But hope exists where pain may lie,
Like sunlight breaking through the sky.
Each step we take, each breath we find,
The healing comes from within the mind.
For in the storm, there’s space for grace,
In every tear, a soft embrace.
The road is long, the climb is steep,
But rise again, no need to weep.
Release the chains that bind you tight,
And trust the dawn, the morning light.
Addictions fade like shadows cast,
When courage blooms, when love holds fast.
So heal, my friend, and let it go,
The past may ache, but you can grow.
For every heart can find its way,
And rise to greet a brand-new day.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
