Poem: Lost in the Pain

Lost in the pain, a soul adrift,
Wandering through shadows, an endless rift.
The heart beats slow, but feels the weight,
Of memories, sorrow, a cruel fate.

The world is muted, colors pale,
Dreams are whispers that fade and fail.
Each breath a struggle, a hollow sound,
In a maze of silence, I’m tightly bound.

The wounds run deep, unseen, unfelt,
But every tear is a memory built.
A love once bright, now burned away,
Leaving ashes where hopes once lay.

Lost in the pain, I search for light,
But the darkness clings with all its might.
Still, I walk through the storm, step by step,
Hoping one day, I’ll find peace where I’ve wept.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
