I’ve walked through storms with quiet grace,
Worn every scar upon my face.
Tried to fit where I don’t belong,
Still came back twice as loud, twice strong.
I’ve danced to rhythms only I hear,
Spoken truths others might fear.
Laughed too loud, dreamed too wide,
Loved too fierce to ever hide.
The world may tug, may bend, may pull,
Try to rewrite my pages dull—
But ink runs deep inside my skin,
And I won’t let the edits win.
I’m flame and thunder, roots and sea,
A force of wild honesty.
So let the world watch, judge,
I will never stop being me.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
