Poem: Saved By Grace

I walked through shadows, lost and cold,
With weary heart and burdens old.
The road was rough, my soul worn thin,
Each step a struggle wrapped in sin.

I sought for light, but none was near,
Just echoing doubts and growing fear.
Till mercy found me, soft and still,
A whisper rising o’er my will.

Not by my deeds, nor prayers alone,
But by a love I’d never known.
A gift unearned, a boundless place—
I stood redeemed, saved by grace.

No chains could hold, no past condemn,
For mercy wore a thorn-pressed gem.
His wounds, my pardon; His cross, my gain—
Through crimson flow, I broke the chain.

Now hope is mine, not born of might,
But lifted by eternal light.
I live, I breathe, I run this race—
Forever held, saved by grace.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
