Poem: Don’t Fear to Be Seen

Don’t Fear to Be Seen

Don’t fear to be seen in the light of your truth,
Even when silence has shadowed your youth.
Step from the hush where the timid hearts lie,
Lift up your voice—let it echo the sky.

You are not made for the corners of gray,
Nor stitched to the seams of a world in decay.
There’s fire in your chest, there’s gold in your glance—
A reason, a rhythm, a rightful stance.

Let them look closely and try to define
The shape of your soul or the bend of your spine.
Let them misjudge, let them question your flame—
Still you burn brighter, unshackled by shame.

Each scar is a stanza, each wound a refrain,
A melody rising from struggle and strain.
What they call strange is your sovereign design—
Don’t dim your light just to make others shine.

So walk through the crowd with your colors unrolled,
With stories unspoken, with courage untold.
You’re not here to vanish, to blend or to flee—
Don’t fear to be seen. Be wild. Be free.

Thank-you for reading.

Much Love and Light,

Brenda Marie
