Be the Guiding Light
When darkness drapes the weary road,
And hearts bend low beneath their load,
When voices fade and hope feels slight—
Be the one who sparks the light.
Not with thunder, not with flame,
But quiet strength that has no name.
A steady hand, a gentle word,
A truth that’s felt, though softly heard.
Be the lantern in the storm,
The breath that helps the soul grow warm.
A flame that flickers, but won’t die—
A star to lift another’s sky.
You need not lead or always know,
Just shine where others fear to go.
A light can’t fix the broken night,
But it can help them find what’s right.
So when the world forgets its way,
And good, feels lost in shades of gray,
Don’t wait for signs or perfect might—
Be the love. Be the guiding light.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and Light,
Brenda Marie
