Your pain is not in the way—
it is the way.
A road not marked in morning light,
but carved by night,
where shadows stay.
It does not block your path ahead,
it is the path beneath your tread.
Each ache a stone, each tear a stream,
each silence louder than a scream.
Do not wait for it to part—
this sorrow etched into your heart.
It carries you, it shapes the ground,
the cracks where grace is sometimes found.
Your pain is not a weight to bear,
but wings that taught you how to care.
It opens doors through locked despair,
and leads to places raw and rare.
So walk—don’t turn from what you feel.
This road you’re on is how you heal.
It’s not a detour. Not dismay.
Your pain is not in the way—
it’s the way.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
