Let go, dear soul, of the weight you bear,
The silent wound, the haunted stare.
No chain of guilt was made to last—
Release the grip of what has passed.
Shame is a shadow, not your skin,
Not proof of wrong, but pain within.
It whispers lies in quiet tones,
And turns your heart to dust and stones.
But you are more than one mistake,
More than the tears you didn’t fake.
More than the silence you held tight,
When speaking truth just didn’t feel right.
Let go. Breathe in the wide sky.
No need to question, wonder why.
You lived, you broke, you dared, you tried—
That’s not disgrace. That’s being alive.
So open wide your trembling hands,
Let the oceans rinse away the sands.
You’re not your shame. You never were.
You are the storm. You are the stir.
A healing voice, a rising flame—
Step forward now.
Let go of shame.
Thank-you for reading.
Much Love and light,
Brenda Marie
