It’s a long way to Heaven, or so they say,
Past the heartache, through the gray.
Through every tear you never showed,
And every heavy mile you strode.
It winds through nights that break you bare,
Through whispered prayers and unanswered air.
Through dreams that fade like falling light,
And battles lost without a fight.
The road is rough, the signs unclear,
Each step is laced with hope and fear.
You climb with scars the world can’t see,
Still chasing what you hope will be.
It’s not paved in gold, or lined in song,
But in the quiet where the hurt feels long.
In love that stays when all else leaves,
And faith that holds through shattered dreams.
Still, I walk, though worn and slow,
With all I’ve lost, and all I know.
If Heaven waits beyond the pain,
Then every loss won’t be in vain.
So I’ll press on, though I am small —
It’s a long way to Heaven,
But I will crawl.
Thank-you for reading.
Many blessings to all.
Much love and light,
Brenda Marie

This is breathtaking Brenda ! a raw, aching hymn of resilience. Every stanza pulses with the weight of unseen battles and stubborn hope. That final line, *”But I will crawl,”* is a gut-punch of defiance—proof that the journey itself, however broken, is sacred. Heaven isn’t just a destination; it’s in the courage to keep moving. 🌟 Keep writing; your words are a lifeline.🌷🤝
Thank-you so much
